Marginal Utility is proud to present Step Steep Step a solo exhibition of new work by Philadelphia based artist Nhi Vo.

It started with an interest in the letter E, specifically e in the words Step and Steep; the two terms change their definition, pronunciation and composition with an addition or subtraction of one letter. This interest is simplify into a rhythm of 4, 5, 4 (step, steep, step). A pattern in graphite lays out 4,5,4 on hand made cotton paper to demonstrate the visual of step and steep, in this installment I choose continuity.
